It is the Spirit that enables me to engrave God’s Word on my heart. 

The beauty of the Christian gospel is that because of the empty tomb left by our crucified and risen Savior, you know eventually that boat will make it to the land, where you’ll never have to worry about the monsters of the sea ever again.

Instead of picturing yourself at the starting line, remember, the Christian life is likened to a long race. Run with your eyes fixed on Jesus (Heb. 12:1-2), and before you fix yourself on a Bible-reading plan, look for Jesus in the book of Revelation.

Christ entered a dark world. Not the inner-city darkness that fills a room with faint beams of streetlights and occasional headlights flashing as vehicles pass. He entered darkness that you can feel.

The easiest way to not crave unhealthy candy bars and fast food is to have a full belly of better food.

The Bible has so many wonderful, God-inspired flavors that we don’t have to worry about the manna of the Word ever going stale.
