Let’s be people who invite others to see God — through Scripture, story, prayer, and beauty — until the eyes of our hearts are so accustomed to his light that we begin, slowly and surely, to see everything else by it.

Our faith hangs upon an extravagant, world-bending hope for that which we cannot yet see; therefore, Christians of all people should excel at stretching the boundaries of our present reality in every possible direction.

For my children, embracing their imagination is also helping to instill an understanding of the truth that will anchor them in a world of confusion.

Each year, this day marks our Savior’s birth as a human child revered by kings and shepherds. This day ushers divine imagination into our reality.
